‘The Ladies in Red’ trained with Jamaican children

The diplomatic representatives together with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports, Affairs of Jamaica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile shared a fellowship lunch with the women players and coordinated a meeting between the players and school children from disadvantaged backgrounds in that country. In that opportunity, they trained together, shared experiences, and the players distributed balls and some presents for the children.
Various delegations participated in these activities such as the Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports of Jamaica, Olivia Grange, the Assistant Director-General for Culture of UNESCO, Ernesto Ottone –who was in a visit in the Caribbean country-, the Permanent Secretary of Sports of Jamaica, Denzil Thorpe, and the Representative of UNESCO in that country, Katherine Grigsby, among other public figures and authorities.
At 9 p.m. (local time) today, the Chilean squad are taking on the Reggae Girlz in the first leg of the two friendlies that the teams will be facing, as part of their training for the World Cup in France in June and July this year.
