South American countries met in Santiago to discuss new integration mechanism

Today a new meeting of national coordinators for South American integration was held in Santiago, led by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Carolina Valdivia.


The meeting brought together representatives from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Chile. Among them the Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Peru and Bolivia as well as the Undersecretaries and Directors of the different Chancelleries.
The broad participation of South America shows a common interest to seek more effective ways of integration in the region.


This meeting is part of the preparations for the presidential meeting on subregional integration convened by the President Sebastián Piñera.
