Chile condemns terrorist attack in Philippines

The Government of Chile condemns in the strongest possible terms the coward terrorist attack perpetrated this Sunday, January 27, 2019 to the Cathedral of the town of Jolo, province of Sulu, in the Autonomous Region of Mindanao, what has resulted in a great toll of dead and injured.

The Government of Chile expresses its solidarity to the Government of Philippines as well as to the families of the victims, and reiterates its conviction that violence and intolerance should be rejected unreservedly by all the international community.

The Government of Chile, in liberty, democracy and full respect of human rights has joined in the condemnation of terrorism in all its forms for constituting a serious threat to peace and security and an obstacle to the social and economic development.
