Chancellery organized course for representatives of the Armed Forces that will go to Antarctica

From July 18 to July 20, the Joint Course for the Antarctic Teams of the Armed Forces 2018-2019 was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This course is part of the preparation process for the representatives of the Armed Forces that will have the responsibility of carrying out tasks in the Chilean bases in the Antarctic territory.

More than 120 representatives from the three military institutions as well as from other government agencies and entities of the country participated in the training sessions, organized by the Antarctic Directorate and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which included talks on topics such as the Antarctic Treaty system, scientific research, inspections, the joint activity of the armed forces in Antarctica, among many others.
