Undersecretary participates in First Regional Conversation of Latin America and the Caribbean "On the Road to Equality"

Today, the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Carolina Valdivia, participated in the opening session of the First Regional Conversation of Latin America and the Caribbean "On the Road to Equality": 30 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the United Nations Children's Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNICEF).

The session was attended by UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore - who was visiting our country - and the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Hernán Larraín, as well as government authorities from the region, representatives of regional parliaments, members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, representatives of the United Nations and Inter-American System, representatives of the private sector, and adolescents.

This Conversation brought together adolescents from different countries in the region to discuss their role in the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, future challenges and the promotion of the participation of children and adolescents in Latin America and the Caribbean.
