Statement by the Government of Chile on the Singapore Summit

The Government of Chile welcomes the recent summit meeting held in Singapore between the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and the Supreme Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un.

It also expresses its hope that this understanding between the two countries will contribute significantly to international peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and globally. the Singapore Summit.

This significant meeting is in addition to the efforts made by the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to resume dialogue, stability and reconciliation in the region.

The Government of Chile hopes that the progress achieved at the Singapore summit will finally lead to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and a final peace agreement among all parties involved.
