The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, received German parliamentarians Michael Brand, Matthias Bartke and Renate Künast in audience today.
German MPs are visiting Chile this week to develop an agenda linked to human rights issues, including issues related to the former Colonia Dignidad.
During the meeting with Chancellor Ampuero, the need to make progress on this matter, which is relevant for both nations, was highlighted. In this context, mention was made of the work being carried out by the Joint Commission, which was created following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Chile and Germany in July 2017.
