Chancellor Ampuero maintains an intense agenda in China focused on innovation and entrepreneurship

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, participated in various activities within the framework of the second day of the State visit of the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, to China.

In the early morning, he attended to the inauguration of the second version of the ProChile Innovation & Investment Summit. The initiative was organized to connect innovative Chilean ventures with the Chinese innovation ecosystem and support the internationalization of innovation. "We want to transform Chile into a true business center for Chinese companies, so that you can, from Chile, also reach the rest of Latin America," said President Piñera during the inauguration.

Then, the Secretary of State participated in an activity to promote Chilean wines from the Wines of Chile association. Later, along with the President, he visited Didi, one of the world's leading companies in innovation and mobile transport, via applications.

The Chancellor also attended a lunch headed by President Piñera, where he shared with more than 25 executives of the Chile-China business group. Later, he participated in a meeting with representatives of five companies specializing in electromobility: BYD, Yutong, Sunwin, King Long and Ying Long.

Finally, Minister Ampuero accompanied President Piñera to Tsinghua University. This establishment, one of the 20 best educational centers in the world, awarded the degree of Professor Honoris Causa to the President.
