The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Muñoz, gave a lecture this midday to the Chilean Association of International Specialists (ACHIE) at the Gran Logia de Chile.
During his lecture, the Minister reviewed the main axes of the program of President Michelle Bachelet regarding international relations. Special emphasis was placed on neighboring relations and the commitment to intensify relations with Latin America, privileging "convergence in diversity", as a way of maximizing integrative efforts. In his presentation, he also stressed the relations between Chile and the great development hubs, as well as the role of our country in the United Nations Security Council and the Human Rights Council.
Finally, Minister Heraldo Muñoz highlighted the importance of moving forward, at this point, in modernization of the Foreign Ministry with a view to updating the operation of this State Department and placing it at a level that copes with the XXI Century.
