Foreign Minister Muñoz accompanies President Bachelet to Dresden and Cologne

On his second day of activities in Germany, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Muñoz, accompanied President Michelle Bachelet to Dresden. In that city, he attended the meeting the President held with the Minister President of the State of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich, and with the Rector of the Freiberg University of Technology, Dr. Bernd Meyer. He then attended the ceremony of award of the Doctor Honoris Causa degree to President Bachelet by that University.


In the afternoon, he accompanied the President to Cologne, in western Germany, where he participated with the Chilean head of State in a meeting with the Minister President of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hannelore Kraft, and in a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economy and Energy, Sigmar Gabriel.


The day will end with a gala dinner organized by Lateinamerika Verein (Business Association for Latin America). After the dinner, the President, the Foreign Minister and the entourage will board the Fach plane that will take them to Spain, second destination of this tour, where the Governor will begin a State visit.
