For his part, Senator Girardi spoke about the challenges of politics in the 21st century. He said that one of the tasks is to bring politics to the citizens, to science, and to universities, and for this reason he created the Commission on the Future of the Chilean Senate. He used the opportunity to present the program of the 5th Congress of the Future to be held in January 2016. The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrini, said she would like to replicate the idea and create an instance of similar discussion in the Italian Congress.
