Undersecretary Riveros travels to Rome to participate in the VIII Italy-Latin America and the Caribbean Conference

The Conference is organized by the Italian Chancellery and the Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA), an organization that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016. The main objective of the Conference is to strengthen political dialogue, based on concrete proposals in areas of common interest that respond to the UN 2030 Agenda, focusing on the exchange of experiences and mutual benefit. Another relevant issue will be the social agenda and human rights issues.The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Edgardo Riveros, is in Rome today to participate in the VIII Italy-Latin America and the Caribbean Conference. In this instance, he will give a presentation on the challenges of cooperation of our region with Italy, with emphasis on migration, climate change and clean energy.

In addition, during the visit, Undersecretary Riveros will hold a meeting with the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Mario Giro, and will lead the ceremony of decoration with the Order Bernardo O' Higgins to Mr. Donato di Santo, Secretary General of the Italo-Latin American Institute.
